Oaths are promises we make to ourselves, family, friends, and God in the spiritual realm. With the human ability to make decisions, we can initiate oaths between two or more people. Likewise, we can invoke the presence of the Lord as we take vows.
It’s important to note that whether we mention God or not, He will preside over the commitment ceremony if it puts a smile on His face. On the contrary, even if we do not invite the devil, he will take part in cases inclined to him.
Now, let’s float some of the simplest examples of oaths.
When you sign your job contract, you vow to adhere to the set guidelines. As long as the job does not defy God’s commandments, He surely will attend the moment incognito. If the job does not please God, it makes the evil one happy. The enemy will not hesitate to take control right from inception. This concept cuts across the work of our hands, whether employment or business.
During your wedding, you promise to stand by your spouse through thick or thin all your life. At least the presence of the Lord is assured in this case.
Try to figure this out!
“When two or three gather in my name, I will be there,” says God.
Has it ever occurred to you that the evil one utters the same words? If you would like to take a tour through some activities that take place in the presence of the evil one, click here.
Now, let’s get to know how we blindly involve ourselves in evil spiritual oaths.
How Evil Spiritual Oaths Distort Your Life Tenfold
If you are experiencing these challenges, take a deep breath, and read on.
- Business stagnation.
- Perennial problems in your house or home.
Remember, the evil spirit imitates every word the Lord speaks, for the sake of his wicked kingdom!
Now, let’s explain these trials further.
Look at these three cases!
You are running your business at the comfort of your home, probably online.
You’re using one of your spaces at your premises.
You have rented a place.
Whichever the case, the bottom line here is, the business never does well even ten or twenty years down the line. If you have examined yourself deep enough, it’s time to take an extra step.
People will tell you black magic does not exist. Over the years, I came to learn the black magic is in the tongue.
Take a look at this scripture!
Matthew 3: 33-37: Again you have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘Do not take a false oath, but make good to the Lord all that you vow.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all; not by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great king. Do not swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black. Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’ Anything more is from the evil one.
You may not know the actual practices that take place in the dark world. But it is possible a jealous person secretly uttered unruly words upon you. He was sinning so, the evil one was present.
And why did God let it happen!
We are fond of blaming God instead of taking the blame.
There was possibly a vacant room in your life at the time. I mean, your attachment to the Lord was weak.
When you are not with God, you are with his rival!
Recurrent problems at home
Secondly, believers of worldly powers chant ritualistic words upon their premises or pieces of land. Sometimes they face the consequences when their chants turn against them. They even take oaths by shedding animal blood upon the property!
Remember, animal bloodshed was practiced in the Old Testament. Those who practice it and claim it is in the Bible are sadly living in a sorry state. The blood of Jesus was the last and permanent sacrifice God made for humanity.
The innocent people who attend such ceremonies don’t usually know they are taking oaths. Why? The owners pray to God and even lift their hands crying out for God’s mercy.
Isn’t that a blasphemy of sorts!
You cannot ignore the precious blood of Jesus, use animal blood, and still pray to the same God (serving two masters)!
How do these oaths affect you as the new property owner?
When the deal goes sour, the landlord may opt to sell the asset. If you happen to purchase such an asset, you may need to break all the evil ties associated with it. Otherwise, you may unknowingly inherit the predicaments he suffered.
That’s just an example. Challenges may differ.
Replicate the same to any land purchase as you absorb these Bible verses.
James 5: 12; But above all my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath, but let your “Yes” mean “Yes” and your “No” mean “No,” that you may not incur condemnation.
As human as we are, we are likely to defy an agreement and face the consequences of breaking a promise.
You can imagine how heavy the condemnation would be if the previous property owner made a promise with the evil one!
How to break Ungodly ties in the Catholic Church
First and foremost, evaluate yourself. Who are you? If Jesus asked some people in your locality to queue in the order of first come, first served, what position would you take? Would He spot you, or would you be too far to be noticed?
Once you get an answer, take the second test. What have you done so far for the sake of the Lord and not just for you? Do you sacrifice?
Thirdly, do you follow the Catholic church’s stated guidelines? There is one rule Catholics dread the most. Sadly, if you skip this step, you will not get anywhere.
Fourth, take these additives seriously. Employers usually ask for specific qualifications when advertising for a position. Why do you think they end the advert by stating, “if you have XYZ, you are likely to get the job?” It means the organization prefers a person who has the addition. Jesus also has preferences. You receive God in detail when you appear on His list of serious Christians.
Apply the above process of breaking the ungodly ties. Sometimes you have to step back, change tact, then step forward and overcome the hurdle that looked impossible when you were using the previous method.
Salvation by the precious blood of Jesus is a sure way to delink yourself from dubious oaths whether you knowingly partook in them or not. Even if you don’t know what they are, take your problem to the altar during mass. Offer masses in the affected place. The blood sacrifice only takes place at the altar during mass.
